Lures

Five small lures. If the water is fly only, leave them in the van.

1. 01 · Small spinner

   Cast across and down and let it swing.

   Rivers after rain, when there’s colour.

2. 02 · Slim minnow

   Twitch the first foot, then pause.

   Clear stillwaters and dam walls.

3. 03 · Spoon

   Count it down, then a slow figure-of-eight.

   Deeper bowls on bright days.

4. 04 · Soft grub

   Tiny hops on a light jig head.

   Pressured fish and cold water.

5. 05 · Surface / hopper

   Leave it sitting, then one twitch.

   Summer evenings on still corners.

How to choose on the day

Colour in the river → spinner. Clear stillwater → slim minnow. Bright and deep → spoon. Educated fish → grub, tiny and slow. Evening glass → one surface twitch and a long wait.
